Red Rock Biofuels seen no longer looking to develop in South Carolina

August 12, 2015 |

In South Carolina, Red Rock Biofuels is apparently not looking to develop their next aviation biofuels facility in the state despite working with the South Carolina Clean Energy Business Alliance to undertake feasibility studies using USDA funding to expore woody biomass-based biofuels. The feasibility studies were reportedly completed two months ago but are not yet ready for public dissemination.

The SCCEBA added:

“It has been a privilege to work with Red Rock Biofuels on the USDA Rural Business Enterprise Grant to study if South Carolina has the natural resources, infrastructure and economic development policies in place to attract biofuels companies, such as Red Rock Biofuels. While the specific purpose of this grant is specifically technical assistance, SCCEBA is actively working to improve the business climate for advanced energy companies in South Carolina. We are finalizing the market feasibility study and will release the findings publicly in September.”
