Brazilian hydrous ethanol consumption hits all-time record in July

In Brazil, hydrous ethanol consumption jumped to an all-time high in July at 1.55 billion liters, up 53% on the year and 4% from June, and the highest consumption since the last record was set at 1.51 billion liters in December 2009. So far this year, total ethanol consumption is up 40% at almost 9.94 billion liters. Ethanol prices averaged 64.4% of gasoline in July, compared to 64.9% in June and 68.9% in July 2014.
