Minnesota ethanol plant gets $750,000 state grant for facility upgrades

In Minnesota, the DENCO II ethanol plant has received a $750,000 grant from the state’s Department of Employment and Economic Development to buy a fifth fermentation tank, an additional hammer mill, and an addition to the plant’s cooling tower to improve the facility’s production efficiency. The overall investment is estimated at around $1.5 million. As part of the grant funding requirements and the public private partnership of the plant, the city of Morris that hosts the facility will own the equipment for 12 years and then it will pass on to the company.
