September 16, 2015 |

In Nigeria, the Emerging Africa Infrastructure Fund says it will partner with the country’s cassava growers association to produce ethanol in 10 distilleries in different states around the country. Each facility will use feedstock from 6,000 ha of cassava grown nearby. Areas will be divided up into 10ha blocks for different farmers to grow cassava for supply to the ethanol and power plants. The EAIF is funded by the governments of the UK, Switzerland, Netherlands and Sweden.
