China’s August ethanol imports remain high but down 22% from July record

In China, August ethanol imports fell to the second-highest level ever at 53,530 cubic meters, down 22% from July’s record of 69,077 cu m. Total ethanol imports through August reached 179,313 cu m, up from 26,369 cu m during all of 2014. Though down 15% from July, Pakistan supplied the most volume during August at 37,282 cu m. The US’s exports doubled from July, however, at 12,415 cu m compared to 5,055 cu during the previous month.
