September 30, 2015 |

In Argentina, Compañía Bioenergética La Florida’s new ethanol dehydration facility in the province of Tucumán designed by a Brazilian engineer has been inaugurated. The facility will produce 500,000 liters of dehydrated ethanol daily. The plant includes several improvements over standard dehydration facilities, using less energy, less vapor and less water consumption. Following the successful commissioning of the plant, plans are underway for 15 taxis to operate in the city using the fuel to demonstrate its viability in vehicles. Blending levels for the trial were not mentioned.
