UAE bus company saves cash and carbon by blending with biodiesel

In the UAE, Transguard Group saved $136,000 during the first 12 months of blending locally-produced biodiesel for their fleet of 150 56-seater and 34-seater buses. The company sources the biodiesel from Neutral Fuels and Lootah Biofuels and has so far reduced its carbon footprint by 3,000 metric tons. As a result of its biodiesel and associated activities, the company was awarded Highly Commended in the CSR Initiative of the Year category at the ‘Facilities Management Middle East Awards 2015’.
