Green Fuel back producing ethanol with enough stocks to get through rainy season

October 12, 2015 |

In Zimbabwe, Green Fuel is back online and producing more ethanol than ever after heavy rains temporarily mothballed production. The facility is currently producing about 850,000 liters per day, roughly 8 million liters per month, while domestic demand for E15 and E85 only comes to about 6 million liters. The company has built stocks back up to help it supply during the next rainy season so the country will no longer have to cut its blending mandate back down to 5%.
