October 14, 2015 |

In Washington, the Environmental Protection Agency says advanced biofuel D5 RINs generation rose sharply in August to nearly 60.3 million, while cellulosic biofuels produced 75.5 million D3 RINs. More than 1.8 billion D4 biomass-based diesel RINs were produced in the month as well. Ethanol remains the largest generator of RINs with nearly 9.8 billion D6 RINs produced during August. All of the 53,000 D7 cellulosic diesel RINs were produced by importers, while the other RIN categories had both domestic and international generation.
