Meeting called to sort out India’s inability to supply E10

In India, the Department of Chemical and Petrochemicals has called a meeting for Oct. 19 with the chief secretaries of all sugarcane producing states to discuss growing concerns in the market that there is not enough ethanol being supplied for the new 10% blending mandate. Stakeholders from sugar, chemical and liquor industries have been invited to the meeting to hammer out a solution. Oil marketing companies floated a tender six weeks ago but only enough to satisfy a 3.5% blend was contracted
