US ethanol production rises to 14.53 billion gallon annual rate

According to EIA data as analyzed by the Renewable Fuels Association, ethanol production averaged 951,000 barrels per day (b/d)—or 39.94 million gallons daily. That is up 2,000 b/d from the week before. The four-week average for ethanol production stood at 948,000 b/d for an annualized rate of 14.53 billion gallons. Stocks of ethanol stood at 18.9 million barrels. That is a 0.4% decrease from last week.
Imports of ethanol were nonexistent for the second straight week. Gasoline demand for the week averaged 384.6 million gallons (9.157 million barrels) daily. Refiner/blender input of ethanol averaged 897,000 b/d. Expressed as a percentage of daily gasoline demand, daily ethanol production was 10.39%.
