Chinese ethanol imports hit all time high of 121,625 cubic meters in September

In China, the ethanol imports in September hit an all-time high of 121,625 cubic meters, far above the previous high seen in July at 69,077 cu and more than double August’s imports of 53,530 cu. The US accounted for 41,629 cu of the imports while Brazil exported 48,037 cu. Ethanol imports this year through September hit 300,938 means that if the arbitrage window remains open, annual imports could top Japan’s 450,000 cu, the largest importer in Asia.
