DuPont’s cellulosic ethanol plant coming on line at last this month

October 26, 2015 |

In Iowa, though a year delayed, the 30 million gallon per year DuPont cellulosic ethanol plant will come online at last the end of this month, with commissioning and ramping up production taking place throughout the rest of the year. Currently the facility is working with about 400 corn growers to ensure the sustainability of the stover supply chain as well as the farmers’ fields. Due to policy inconsistency in the US, at the moment there is more demand internationally such as in China than domestically.
