European ethanol to remain tight through year’s end as imports “impossible”

October 28, 2015 |

In the Netherlands, the European ethanol continues to suffer from tight supplies, which have helped to boost front month swap prices to a two-month high of EUR558 per cubic meter, up EUR18 on the week. The second month swap has also soared to a three month high just behind it at EUR539 per cubic meter. Fourth quarter deliveries appear to be nearly impossible, leaving the market undersupplied and prices underpinned through the rest of the year.
