Oil industry to ramp up attacks against RFS ahead of EPA’s final rule

In Washington, during the run up to the Environmental Protection Agency’s final rule on the RFS blending mandates for 2014 through 2016, the oil lobby led by the American Petroleum Institute is planning to a run a “multifaceted advocacy campaign” across radio, TV and the internet in the Washington, DC market to tell consumers and policy makers about the alleged negative impacts of higher ethanol consumption. The campaign blames increased ethanol use for higher fuel prices and negative impacts on the environment.
