US ethanol production rises to 14.75 billion gallon annual rate

In Washington, according to EIA data as analyzed by the Renewable Fuels Association, ethanol production averaged 982,000 barrels per day (b/d)β€”or 41.24 million gallons daily. That is up 13,000 b/d from the week before and the highest total since the week ended 7/10/2015. The four-week average for ethanol production stood at 962,000 b/d for an annualized rate of 14.75 billion gallons.

Stocks of ethanol stood at 18.9 million barrels. That is a 0.4% increase from last week. Imports of ethanol registered for the first time in five weeks with 26,000 b/d. Gasoline demand for the week averaged 394.3 million gallons (9.388 million barrels) daily. Refiner/blender input of ethanol averaged 868,000 b/d. Expressed as a percentage of daily gasoline demand, daily ethanol production was 10.46%.
