Digest Bioeconomy Index sheds 1.04 percent to 52.59 as ethanol equities decline

The Digest Bioeconomy Index, an index of publicly traded advanced bioeconomy stocks, shed 1.04 percent to 52.59 as ethanol equities declined. For the day, Syngenta (SYT) rocketed up 9.21 percent to $79.06 on continuing merger interest, while Gevo (GEVO) dumped 7.24 percent to $1.41. Among other equities, Global Bioenergies (ALGBE.PA) dropped 5.34 percent to $31.58. Overall, declines led advances by a 8 to 5 ratio for the day.
