Indian ministers encourage more innovation in biodiesel from waste

In India, the railways minister says the country needs to develop innovative new ways to produce biodiesel from waste. The minister says it’s an important part of India’s role in tackling climate change, keeping GHG emissions low and improving air quality, with railroads already taking an active role in improving its carbon footprint while focusing on a switch to renewable energy. His counterpart at the petroleum and natural gas ministry said the government is working to support further biofuel use.
