November 17, 2015 |

In Minnesota, despite low gas prices, seven of the eight ethanol producers in the state have been able to make a profit during the third quarter. Low gasoline prices are expected to weight on ethanol margins for the next 12 to 18 months across the Midwest. Valero Energy reported making 47 cents per gallon during Q3 compared to $1 during the same period last year. On average, those producers saw revenues drop 26% during the quarter compared to Q3 2014.
