Renmatix to develop first commercial facility with unnamed partner next year

In Pennsylvania, Renmatix says that it will develop its first wood-based commercial scale cellulosic sugar biorefinery next year, producing between 100,000 tons and 300,000 tons annually. Developing the project with an undisclosed partner, it will be built in either Europe, Asia or the Americas. The company says it is competitive with $50 oil and could be competitive with $30 oil if higher value uses for found for the lignin byproduct. It is in talks with Coca Cola to supply biomaterials for PlantBottle and would like to cooperate with IKEA to use its waste wood.
