Vancouver Island gets first biodiesel pump with innovative GHG monitoring technology

November 18, 2015 |

In Canada, Vancouver Island’s first retail biodiesel pump is already something to celebrate, but that it will tell customers how much GHG savings it will achieve with each tank is something even more innovative. The Point of Sale technology at the Green & Go Biofuel Station provides each coop member with a transaction record that shows GHG reductions with every fill up, which are available in a range of biodiesel blends for cars, trucks, buses or machinery. The biodiesel is supplied by Cowichan Bio-Diesel Co-op from local used cooking oil and is open to new members who want to be able to fill up at the biodiesel pump.
