Nexant Petro-Bio Training returns in December

November 23, 2015 |

The next Nexant Petro-Bio Training course is being given in Chicago, December 8-10, 2015.  It is a briefing on the petrochemical and hydrocarbon sector that bio-based industrial chemicals and fuels seek to replace, juxtaposed with the bio-based sector itself.

Last year, Nexant initiated this 50/50 version in San Francisco, attended by a diversity of people from the chemical and energy industry (Scientific Design, ExxonMobil, etc.) and from bio-based companies (Abengoa, Micromidas, etc.).  This made for excellent discussions and trading of ideas.   Typically, this Training is taken by technical people, but also by non-technical staff such as HR, accounting, IT, marketing, CFOs, etc., to help them understand the context of this industry – how it is structured,  how it fits into the world economy and society, where it came from, and where it is going.

Nexant Senior Instructor Ron Horton will be conducting the course along with Ron Cascone — Cascone was also seen on the first season of BioChannel.TV’s The New Voices and is a regular as a presenter, moderator and commentator at the ABLC conference series.
