Pertamina expects to source 5.14 million kiloliters of biodiesel in 2016

In Indonesia, Pertamina expects a demand of 5.14 million kiloliters of palm oil biodiesel in 2016 to achieve the 20% blending mandate, of the total 26 million kiloliters the country will consume that year. That’s a five-fold increase over the company’s biodiesel consumption this year. It has already sealed contracts with 11 suppliers to for its expected needs through April. About 1.26 million kiloliters will be sold to power plants, 2.6 million kiloliters will be sold through the Public Service Obligation program while the remaining fuel will be sold into non-PSO markets.
