In Iowa, America’s Renewable Future is running radio ads against Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz, who is gaining popularity in the state, criticizing against the Texas Senator’s position on the RFS. The ads claim the candidate supports subsidies for oil but is against supporting ethanol, putting thousands of jobs in Iowa at risk. The campaign will also include digital media, direct mail and grassroots advocacy to get the word out to Iowa voters about the candidate’s record on ethanol.
