Ethanol production falls from record while West Coast imports rise

December 3, 2015 |

In Washington, the Energy Information Agency says ethanol production fell from record highs of more than 1 million barrels per day to 956,000 b/d. Despite lower production, stocks rose to 19.997 million barrels last week, up 370,000 barrels to the highest levels seen since June. Imports from Brazil last week of 36,000 b/d to the West Coast boosted stocks in that region, while another Brazilian shipment of 225,000 barrels is expected to arrive this week.
