In India, government-owned Numaligarh Refinery Limited has teamed with Chemopolis to set up an ethanol plant that will use bamboo as feedstock. In order to source the required bamboo, NRL has just signed an MOU with Nagaland Bamboo Development Agency for supply of 200,000 metric tons of semi-processed bamboo annually.
