ePure releases new pamphlet summarizing research on ethanol sustainability

December 16, 2015 |

In Belgium, ePure has produced a new pamphlet looking at sustainability in the context of ethanol by summarizing some of the most recent scientific literature from around the world surrounding land availability for biofuels, ILUC mitigation and competition with food among other issues. ePure says that transport in Europe accounts for 26% of the region’s greenhouse gas emissions, meaning that immediate reduction of GHGs in transport is of the utmost importance and urgency if the 2030 goals of 40% GHG emission reductions are to be met.
