Digest Bioeconomy Index gains 0.40 percent to 50.83 as chemicals soar

The Digest Bioeconomy Index, an index of publicly traded advanced bioeconomy stocks, gained 0.40 percent to 50.83 as chemicals soared. For the day, Metabolix (MBLX) rocketed up 37.41 percent to $2.02, while Aemetis (AMTX) shed 5.44 percent to $2.26.  Among other equities,Gevo (GEVO) rallied 12.22 percent to $0.64. Overall, advances led declines by a 7 to 6 ratio for the day.
