Thai Agro Energy teams with major cassava producer on $41.6 million ethanol facility

In Thailand, Thai Agro Energy has teamed with Kamphaengphet Bio Power—a major producer and exporter of cassava—to develop a new 200,000 liter per day ethanol plant with an estimated total investment of $41.6 million following the three-month feasibility stage. TAE is expects to operate at 90% of its installed capacity of 125 million liters annually in 2015, boosting to 95% in 2016 and full capacity at its two existing production facilities by 2017.
