Argentine government extends biodiesel tax credits until next parliament

In Argentina, the government has extended the tax credit for biodiesel for another six months until April 30, including a retroactive period, as part of a larger financial package. The national parliament opens March 1, so the extension allows the new parliament to analyze a new package of potential supports for the biodiesel industry that has been hit so hard by the European Union’s anti-dumping policy. The national government is developing a policy support package that would require parliament’s approval before implementation.
