Top Brazilian biodiesel producer invests $19.5 million to double production capacity

In Brazil, one of the country’s top three biodiesel producers, BSBIOS, will invest $19.5 million to double its biodiesel production capacity to 416 million liters annually. The facility will benefit from tax incentives under the Parana Competitivo program and should be completed by 2017. It uses soy oil and animal fats as feedstock, and will also double its glycerin production as part of the expansion. The company’s two production facilities have a current combined capacity of nearly 425 million liters.
