EPA says biodiesel production reached all-time record in 2015

January 25, 2016 |

In Washington, the Environmental Protection Agency says biodiesel production hit an all time record in 2015 at 1.813 billion gallons, up from its previous annual record of 1.74 billion gallons in 2014, partly thanks to increased production to December to end the year on a high note. December production came in at 161.05 million gallons, up more than 9% over the previous month. The production increase is impressive considering that the blenders tax credit wasn’t in effect during much of the year.
