Maharashtra will supply most of the 330 million liters of ethanol secured at last tender

In India, 53 sugar mills from Maharashtra will supply 328 million liters following the finalization of the most recent buy tender from the Oil Marketing Companies. Another 580,000 liters from five mills will be supplied from outside the state. There were some concerns that the ongoing drought could impact the state’s ability to supply the third ethanol tender but that has proven to not be a challenge. Only 210 liters were supplied by Maharashtra during the tender last year, meaning that more participation will provide more cash in hand to pay dues owed to farmers.
