Digest Bioeconomy Index gains 0.51 percent to 48.81 as chemicals advance

The Digest Bioeconomy Index, an index of publicly traded advanced bioeconomy stocks, gained 0.51 percent to 48.81 as chemicals advanced.  For the day, BioAmber (BIOA) jumped 7.69 percent to $3.50, while Renewable Energy Group (REGI) was up 3.11 percent to $7.29.  Among other equities, Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) 3.68 percent to $3.94. Overall, advances led declines by a 5 to 4 ratio for the day.
