Brazilian hydrous ethanol prices fall 11%

In Brazil, rising hydrous ethanol prices have finally impacted consumption, with February consumption falling more than 11% on the year to 1.06 billion liters while anhydrous ethanol consumption rose to 831.64 million, up 22% on the year. Total hydrous and anhydrous ethanol exports for the month reached 38.52 million liters. Despite being between traditional harvest period, 69.67 million liters of ethanol production was produced during the second week of February. Of the total, only 886,000 liters was anhydrous ethanol.
