March 16, 2016 |

In Canada, SBI Bioenergy is preparing to open its drop-in renewable diesel and aviation jet fuel facility later this year that it says can produce fuel from canola and other oils cheaper than traditional biofuels by not using water or hydrogen nor producing waste. The demo facility near Edmonton will produce 10 million liters annually, which will be commissioned by year’s end, while a C$20 million commercial scale facility will be online by 2018 producing 240 million liters annually.
