Ethanol market seen recovering as producers shut down for maintenance

Across the Midwest, annual maintenance season for ethanol plants will be in full swing the next week or two which is expected to help reduce record-breaking stocks across the country and start to support prices ahead of summer driving season. With thin margins plaguing many producers, some plants may look to do more maintenance this season, staying offline for longer and helping to boost margins as a result while taking advantage of increased efficiency when they come back online.
