Cape Cod Biofuels gets paperwork sorted to carry on producing biodiesel

March 30, 2016 |

In Massachusetts, Cape Cod Biofuels has received all the permits required for methanol storage that will facilitate continued production, after several months of legal wrangling over wording. An anonymous fuel storage complaint had lead to increased regulatory compliance but all of the paperwork has been sorted so that methanol storage and use for the facility can go on as normal. The mix-up had to do with a requirement for a certain type of storage that was required for the methanol but that kind of storage doesn’t exist, so the permitting had to be adapted to existing conditions.
