EIA says ethanol production at lowest levels since August 2014

In Washington, the Energy Information Agency says that ethanol production has fallen to the lowest levels since August 14, 2015. Simultaneously, gas prices have increased to the highest since September 2015, helping to support demand for ethanol. Yet, despite higher gas prices and low ethanol prices thanks to reduced production levels, the blending percentage was the lowest seen since August 2014, the first time under 10% in 34 weeks, and ethanol reaching an overall blending model of just 9.74%.
