Digest Bioeconomy Index rises 1.28 percent to 53.99 as ethanol equities advance

The Digest Bioeconomy Index, an index of publicly traded advanced bioeconomy stocks, rose 1.28 percent to 53.99 as ethanol equities advanced.

For the day, Global Bioenergies (ALGBE.PA) jumped 10.47 percent to $23.31, while Aemetis (AMTX) gained 6.93 percent to $2.47.  Among other equities, Monsanto (MON) rebounded 4.84 percent to $93.27.

Overall, advances led declines by a 4 to 1 ratio for the day.
