Bankruptcy-protected Brazilian soy processor looks to restart biodiesel in 2017

In Brazil, soybean processor Camera—which is currently seeking to restructure debt with creditors—has seen revenues increase 60% during the first quarter, something which will help their argument to continue on the path to recovery since filing for bankruptcy protection in 2014. Since then the company’s biodiesel processing facility has been mothballed. If all goes well at a May 3 meeting with creditors, the company aims to bring biodiesel production back online in 2017.
