Brazilian hydrous ethanol prices down 30% since mid-March

In Brazil, hydrous ethanol prices continue to fall thanks to the early onset of the sugarcane crush in March, will prices down 30% since mid-March. Prices for the week of April 11-15 fell 4.4% on the week to $1.439/gal plus taxes. Though prices are falling, they are still not in line with the 70% parity level typically sought for when compared with gasoline. The national petroleum agency’s most recent figures are for March 10-16 when the parity level was still at 73.6% in Sao Paulo.
