Brazilian hydrous ethanol sales fall during H1 April by nearly 20%

In Brazil, hydrous ethanol sales fell by nearly 20% during the first half of April, the fifth month in a row sales had fallen year-on-year, which is in line with the increased prices as a result of higher demand going into the end of 2015. Sales during the period were better than in March, however, at 592.25 million liters. During the same period, 376.60 million liters of anhydrous ethanol were sold. Of the more than 1 billion liters of ethanol produced during the period, only 39.69 million were exported.
