Wichita City Council approves $7 million in industrial revenue bonds for POET’s Ethanol Product

In Kansas, the Wichita City Council has approved $7 million in industrial revenue bonds towards POET’s Ethanol Product’s planned $8 million investment in a new 26,000 square feet building. The bond will help the company to secure lower interest rates on the proposed project that will be co-located with its current Wichita headquarters. The company supplies oil companies with ethanol for blending and currently employs 191 people with 15 more jobs expected in the next five years.
