Numaligarh Refinery Limited sign JV term sheet with Chempolis

In India, Numaligarh Refinery Limited has signed its term sheet with Chempolis for the joint venture to develop the country’s first biorefinery that will produce 49,000 metric tonnes of ethanol annually along with furfural and acetic acid. Bamboo will be the feedstock used for the project that is meant to be a support mechanism for local farmers, providing them with a steady market for their crop. The partnership for the project was signed in October 2014 by the presidents of the respective countries.
