Entrepreneur wants Warren Buffet to invest $1 billion in CO2 pipeline

In Nebraska, an ambitious oil entrepreneur wants Warren Buffet and other investors to put in $1 billion for a CO2 pipeline that would transport CO2 collected from ethanol plants from Western Nebraska almost to Illinois along the ethanol belt to help boost plants’ bottom lines. If the CO2 is used by oil companies to enhance extraction, in essence a form of CCS for the CO2, he argues it would improve the environmental footprint of Midwestern ethanol to facilitate more entry into the strict California market.
