Four Argentine biodiesel producers at risk due to oil company’s bankruptcy

In Argentina, bankruptcy proceedings for local oil company Oil Combustibles is having a negative impact on the local biodiesel industry as four biodiesel producers wait in line indefinitely for payment. On March 31, payments to debtors were frozen until the bankruptcy process is finalized, meaning the four companies had to use their working capital as operating capital, and have been suffering financially as a result. The government has said it can’t intervene and the companies must wait along with the others for the debts to be cleared.
