Below50 and more: The Digest’s 2016 Multi-Slide Guide to Low Carbon Sustainable Transport Initiatives

June 6, 2016 |

In California, a new global initiative called below50 has debuted, backed by the World Business Council for Sustainable Development, Roundtable for Sustainable Biomaterials and Sustainable Energy for All to promote the best-of-breed of sustainable fuels that can achieve significant carbon reductions, and scale up their development and use.

Any company who produces, uses and/or invests in fuels that are at least 50% less carbon intensive than conventional fossil fuels can join below50. Companies must publicly commit to the campaign, show evidence that supports their claim, and disclose their progress towards achieving this goal.

Presaging the launch of below50, SE4ALL’s biofuels lead Gerry Ostheimer gave this presentation on low-carbon initiatives at ABLC.
