Indian investors look to pour $50 million into new sugarcane complex

In Kenya, Indian investors are set to put $49.9 million towards a 5,000 tons of cane per day mill that will produce sugar in addition to 15 million liters of ethanol annually. The mill will be the country’s second largest after Mumias. The governor of Kisii where the mill will be located says that initial permits for the project have already been granted while as many as 10,000 direct and indirect jobs for youth will be created as a result.
