June 16, 2016 |

In Washington, the Energy Information Agency says the week of June 10 saw ethanol production hit a new record of an average 1.013 million barrels per day, breaking the previous record hit in November of 1.008 million barrels per day. That was the first time ethanol production breeched the 1 million barrel mark and last week is the fifth time it has happened. Production continues to expand following investments at existing plants to build out production beyond their nameplate capacities.
